Carers

This video was produced by Headway UK. All services mentioned in the video are UK-wide iniatives.

Brain injury doesn’t just affect individuals; it can transform the lives of entire families. Depending upon the severity of your relative’s injury and its effects, you may have to make considerable changes to the way you live, such as becoming a part-time or full-time carer.

Often the best source of support is other carers in a similar situation to yourself. We offer advice and support services, including a monthly support group meeting to ensure carers & families can increase their knowledge and understanding of brain injury and gain confidence in the rehabilitation process.

To join our carers service, you will be asked to attend an initial Carer’s Needs meeting before being invited to attend the Carers Group. Our Carers Group meets on the last Monday of each month from 1pm to 3pm.
